Auxiliary

The Auxiliary serves a support role, mainly by performing service functions such as benefit dinners, bake sales, and the annual Yard Party.    While many members have family associated with Company 13, others join simply out of a desire to be of service. We have a brief formal meeting at the Fire Hall on the third Wednesday of each month and most members contribute several hours a month to fund-raising events which tend to center around the Fire Hall’s kitchen. We cater meals for local businesses that support the Fire Hall, host events sponsored by the Fire Hall, and prepare and serve community spaghetti and chili dinners. The Auxiliary, assisted by the firefighters and volunteers from the community, takes responsibility for serving hundreds of meals for the Clear Brook Yard Party in June. We also coordinate occasional yard sales and bazaars held at the Fire Hall. These events and the funds raised thereby are used to promote morale and well-being of the firefighting community, and recognition of their good work. Our recent projects have included amenities and upgrades for the firefighters’ break room, memorial plaques, condolences and congratulations, and support for the Miss Clear Brook pageant. Membership dues are $12 per year and most members serve a turn as officers.
